Informal or self-managed sporting practices are increasingly coming into the foreground in the study of contemporary public space. Urban sports are clearly one of the vectors for the transformation of communal spaces in our cities. This workshop aims to use the tool 'Public Space Tools' to explore the relationship between urban sports and public space in the city of Sofia. What is more, it will address the general possibilities of citizen empowerment for critical, creative, or unconventional uses of public space in the perspective of 'Right to the City' concept.
