For the fifth year in a row, parkings in Sofia will temporarily change its function as part of a global initiative PARK (ing) Day and places for cars will become open public spaces for people.

The annual green event is coordinated by the Foundation Credo Bonum and will happen on September 18, Friday, throughout the world.

PARK (ing) Day started in 2005 with one location in San Francisco, USA, and today reaches nearly 1,000 Park (Inga) in over 35 countries and 170 cities worldwide. In Sofia initiative first held in 2011, when participants were only 11. This year the Bulgarian edition has a record number of participants - 30 goals.

PARK (ing) Day is part of European Mobility Week and is supported by the Metropolitan Municipality and the Center for Urban Mobility.
